Chromolithograph of Hawaiian fish specimens dated 1903. These studies, collected by the United States Fish Commission, are from The Aquatic Resources of the Hawaiian Islands published in Washington D.C. in 1905. The commission launched and carried out the first sustained study of marine biology in the United States. Double glass black frame with textural grid backing.
