Mid 19th century framed oil painting of boy with his kite and dog. Aside from the interesting subject matter, the colors are so vibrant and the background detail is really exquisite. What is even more fascinating is the title of the painting in the lower left hand corner, 'El Antiguo', maybe describing old times or old lad.
There is loss of paint particularly around the dog's face and around the boy's eyes. The painting overall as well as the frame is in very good condition and would look ridiculously good in a well designed home (looking at you, Nickey Kehoe. wink).
