Concrete Sculpture | Control Valdez

Large concrete sculpture/vessel by San Antonio base artist Control Valdez. c. 1980's. Valdez worked at a concrete factory and was known to use 'sourced' materials to create large concrete pieces like trees, compotes, and mailboxes. This painted vessel features his signature 'frosted' surface design which was intended to highlight the texture of the material. There is visible loss to the edges and handles due to age, but it does not impact the structure or the beauty of the piece.
