Wheel thrown ceramic bowl with two slab built handles that depict a man and woman holding hands. Intricate slip design over rim of bowl and both heads/handles creates a beautiful texture while both faces have been painted. By multidisciplinary Japanese-American artist Art Towata (1933-2019). Signed on the bottom and stamped. Note: there is a small stress fracture under the female's head and appears to have happened during firing.
