Brutalist Copper Bowl | Roy Markusen

Heavlu patinated copper bowl with artist's trademark stamp on base. Brutalist | Tortured design similar to other works by contemporary American metalsmith Thomas Roy Markusen. c. 1980's. Markusen has studios in both New York and Arizona. 

Markusen was commissioned to create a set of raspberry patina candleholders for The White House Collection of Contemporary Crafts. He also has pieces in the Vatican Museum, the Museum of Contemporary Crafts in New York City, Wustum Museum in Racine, WI and many private collections. - Artist's Website
