Artist’s study of original portrait painting by Allan Ramsey of Scottish architect James Adam. Adam was also a furniture designer in his time. Quite a catch! Original was painted in 1754. This piece was possibly framed in the 1960’s/70’s? But unsure of the age of the artwork. Original oil on board. Custom framed in a cornflower blue velvet mat. Heavy piece. Fantastic condition.
